The Howrah ortho club was founded in 2017 with the objective to bring all the orthopaedics surgeons of Howrah under one roof. The idea was to increase interactions amongst Orthopaedics surgeons so that advancements of learning and discussions which can be used for better patient care. We have done clinical meetings and CME in every month since our foundation. We organized the annual state conference of WBOA in 2019 which was a great success.

Continuing with our quest for knowledge we organized a one day program on foot in the presence of eminent international faculties with active help and participation of IFAS in the year 2017. We organized our IOACON 2019 in Kolkata where we did two hands-on workshops at Howrah Railway Hospital during that all India orthopaedic conference. We did life surgery workshops on foot ankle arthrodesis at Jain Hospital in the year 2018.The onset of covid did not deter us. The Howrah ortho club organized four webinars during the Covid period( 2020-2021) with the presence of eminent international faculties like Prof. Stefan Rammelt, Prof. J. Schatzker, Prof. Ramesh Sen.
